· Ensure that the oil temperature is within the appropriate range
Gear pump operating temperature is usually 20-60 ° C, beyond this temperature range will lead to oil viscosity changes and internal component losses increased. A cooling device can be installed to control the oil temperature to ensure that the pump works at the optimal temperature.
· Avoid dry grinding
Before starting the gear pump, fill the pump chamber with oil to prevent the gear from running under dry grinding conditions. In addition, when the equipment is started again after a long shutdown, check the lubrication condition first.
· Clean the filter screen and filter element regularly
The filter screen and filter element in the hydraulic system will accumulate impurities, and should be cleaned and replaced regularly to ensure the purity of the oil.
· Correct installation and alignment
Gear pump installation should be maintained level and ensure alignment. Alignment deviation will lead to unstable operation and affect the meshing accuracy and life of the gear.
· Avoid overload
Running under high pressure or high load conditions for a long time will increase the wear of the gear pump, and it should be avoided to exceed the rated working pressure and flow range of the pump to prevent early failure.
Reasons: the gear gap is too large, there are bubbles in the hydraulic oil or the oil viscosity is inappropriate.
Solution: Check whether there are bubbles in the oil, re-exhaust if necessary, or adjust the viscosity parameters of the oil.
· Insufficient or unstable pressure
Cause: insufficient oil, blockage of filter element, internal leakage.
Solution: Check the hydraulic oil level and supplement, replace the filter element, if there is leakage, check the wear of the seal and replace it in time.
· Oil temperature is too high
Cause: prolonged high load operation, insufficient tank capacity or poor cooling.
Solution: Check whether the cooling device is working properly, and increase the tank capacity or install an auxiliary cooling system if necessary.
· Traffic decline
Cause: gear and bearing wear serious, internal leakage increases.
Solution: Check gear meshing and bearing wear, replace wear parts if necessary, and detect leakage points.
· Difficulty in starting or pump stuck
Cause: oil viscosity is too high, gear damage or there is a foreign body in the pump chamber.
Solution: Choose the oil suitable for the ambient temperature, clean the foreign matter in the pump chamber, and regularly check the gear mesh.
